I did not go to class much, and came out doing pretty well. make sure you go to the discussions. if you miss those, you will not do good. they are not hard.

Dr. Gangloff is a very good teacher. Attendance is not important, but just make sure that you always go to discussion section on Wednesdays as it is 25% of your grade.
All tests and quizzes are online. I would highly recommend her.

Class was very hard. She only talks about comic books and pop culture that she is interested in. Never lets you out eary and her tests are hard. She makes it seem like it will be an easy class, but it is very hard!

Dr. Gangloff is possibly the best teacher I have had at MSU! She has a dynamic personality and truly cares about her students. Most of all, she wants you to learn the material presented and asks repeatedly is she made any sense and if you get it. This class was at eight in the morning, and I was excited to go to it even that early because it was so interesting! Dr. Gangloff even brought us cookies at the end of the year because she knew we were swamped, and if she covers the material she will happily let you out early. Fabulous, fabulous teacher!

This was the easiest class I have taken since at MSU. All it requires is two essays and some quizzes (which you do not have to attend class for). She is really funny and was easy to talk with outside of class! I recommend her for freshman! LOVED HER!

I'm in a major in which all of my time is dedicated to my major's classesd and core classes are pushed off until the last minute. This class was really convenient for me because basically all assignments are online including quizzes and multiple choice mid term and final. There is an in class essay for the final and midterm, but they aren't too bad if you go to lecture and take notes from her powerpoints. Make sure you go to discussion because it's basically an easy participation grade but if you don't go it could end up hurting your grade in the end.

THOUGH HISTORY IS VERY BORING, DR. GANGLOFF'S CLASS WAS REALLY EASY. FRESHMAN ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND CLASS, BUT IF YOUR WERE NOT A FRESHMAN ATTENDANCE WAS ONLY MANDATORY FOR THE DISCUSSION SESSION. I NEVER WENT TO THE LECTURE CLASS AND GOT AN EASY A! I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER

After a week of going to class I realized that this was really a revisionist history with less emphasis on the founding ideas of the US and way too much focus on Indians and slavery. Attend the discussion because it is required but I rarely went to lecture, taught myself the material and still pulled out an A

She did a really great job of incorporating lectures for both pre-med and history majors. Not too much reading for the pre-med's and not too much technical jargon for the history's. She did everything she could to make sure we were prepared for the tests, which were quite easy compared to what they could have been. Plus, she's really entertaining.

Dr. Amy is pretty good. All her lectures are presented on powerpoint so note taking is very easy. Attendance is mandatory though if you want to do good, and the midterm and final both consisted of long in class essays and multi choice questions. It was boring sometimes but a pretty easy A.

Dr. Gangloff's class was pretty easy. I say attendance is important because if you go to class you are sure to make an A. The class is split into two parts: lecture and discussion. Attendance is critical for the discussion section, that's where you will take your tests. She gives 4 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. The reading assignments are not important. Also, she gives you the essay questions beforehand so that you can write them ahead of time. I would recommend this class as an easy history elective.
